Ambulance trailer tests
Monday, 11 May 2009

Our partner in Zambia, Disacare, reports that trials of an ambulance-trailer designed by Developing Technologies have started at Kanakatapa clinic, about 45km from Lusaka. The clinic serves a population of around 15,000 and is 15km from the referral hospital by way of a rough gravel road. To date 5 emergency cases have been transported. We're really pleased that our design is starting to make a real difference in the lives of normal people. A second DT-designed trailer has not been used as the road at the clinic where it is located is in a very bad condition after the rains. It will be moved to Mumbwa clinic, a fairly busy town 145km from Lusaka on the Great Western Highway. We are excited to see how the trial results from both trailers turn out!
